2-year warranty and personal after sales service
OptiMate I was first introduced in 1995 with OptiMate II following in 1997 and OptiMate III / 3 following in 1999. The failure rate has not exceeded 0,5% of product sold in any year since 1995. Currently it is running at 0,3%.
Our formal policy is that if it is proven that the product failed due to a manufacturing error within two years of purchase, we will replace it free of charge. Damage to cables or internal damage due to acid or water ingress or physical abuse is not covered. This should be done through the dealer you purchased it from, failing that, through the distributor in your country.
Our unofficial policy is that the user receives the benefit of doubt and we will replace product unless it is patently obvious that it failed due to user abuse or misuse. We have many happy users that can attest to our direct intervention and personal attention if they lost their sales invoice and / or could not receive service through the recommended channels.
We personally answer all emails from users, questions ranging from how to use the product to the type of battery it can charge and then some not directly related to the product.
